Uptown / North Oakland is the cultural epicenter of Oakland. It is home to the First Fridays monthly arts & entertainment festival, The New Parkway independent movie house, and The Hive- an outdoor eatery that houses Drake’s Dealership taproom, and some of the hottest new boutiques and eateries in the East Bay.
The area is often sunny and the weather is mild. It is conveniently located near the new Sprouts grocery as well as Whole Foods and Oakland’s most scenic outdoor, shopping and entertainments spaces including Uptown, Temescal, Lake Merritt and Piedmont Avenue. A commuter’s dream NoKo is highly walkable, with easy freeway access via the MacArthur Maze, and public transportation options include AC Transit and the MacArthur BART station.
