At Mosser, hard work and commitment are valued and rewarded. One Mosser employee who has demonstrated these traits in abundance is Pyoter Charney, Project Manager and Resident Manager.
Raised in Poland before immigrating to Chicago and landing in San Francisco, Pyoter joined Mosser Companies two years ago as a part-time Resident Relations Specialist. He quickly demonstrated a strong work ethic and earned a promotion to Assistant Property Manager in just a few months, followed by another promotion in May 2020 to Project Manager. His steadfast commitment to his work led Pyoter to take on a second role at Mosser as Resident Manager last year.
“Work is number one for me always,” Pyoter said, “I care about doing a good job and would never jeopardize my work for personal stuff.” Pyoter’s performance echoes his sentiments.
As Project Manager, Pyoter is responsible for fulfilling a variety of maintenance requests that arise across Mosser properties. An event one Saturday this past May demonstrates perfectly how Pyoter will go above and beyond the call of duty for Mosser residents. Pyoter was called to a Mosser property to modify a lock on the front door of the building that had been tampered with. As the contractor was running late, the job was completed around 10pm, at which point Pyoter tried the new keys in the door and confirmed that they worked.
Pyoter prepared to leave the property, under the assumption residents could use their key fobs to enter the building until new physical keys were provided in the morning. However, a resident brought to Pyoter’s attention that eight individuals who lived in the building relied on their physical keys, and therefore might have trouble entering the building overnight. Pyoter decided, instead of taking that risk, he would spend the night in his car in front of the property, on high alert, and wait for any residents returning home so that he could personally explain the situation to them and let them in. He stayed until 6:30am, at which point property management came and created new keys for all residents.
This story is just one of countless examples of Pyoter going above and beyond all expectations to best serve his residents and his company. Another includes when, at the property where Pyoter serves as Resident Manager, he applied his past medical experience as a certified medical assistant (CMA) to assist an elderly gentleman who had fallen down in the middle of the night until paramedics were able to arrive.
“Pyoter is the best building manager I have seen in my 57 years of renting, he really cares about the building and every tenant,” the gentleman wrote to Resident Relations the next day.
The care and commitment to Mosser residents and the dedication that Pyoter unwaveringly demonstrates to his job is inspirational to us all. We cannot wait to see Pyoter continue to grow at Mosser Companies. Keep up the great work, Pyoter!
