First, Shelter in Place has been lifted and our community has returned to purple status. This partial re-opening of the community comes with the improvement in the rate of infections and hospital ICU capacity, and vaccinations being administered. We are encouraged by signs that more vaccines will reach Californians in the weeks and months ahead.

We hope this news is as welcome for you as it is for us. This past year has been an exercise in endurance and we are looking forward to when we can resume our normal activities. While there is definitely a light at the end of the tunnel, we know that the pandemic is still raging. So, Mosser is keeping up with our enhanced cleaning and safety protocols. Our dedicated staff has doubled down to keep you safe by implementing a Courtesy Patrol Service and our maintenance team has performed enhanced deep cleaning to ensure your health and wellbeing. Please continue to protect yourselves and others from the virus by wearing your masks and other PPE and social distance so we can continue to make progress and defeat this pandemic.

Secondly, we have some very good to share. The Federal stimulus program has been approved, resulting in rental assistance and extension of the moratorium to June 30, 2021. This relief will help many breathe a sigh of relief as the measure will alleviates 12 months’ worth of back due rent for residents who have been severely impacted by California’s high unemployment and pandemic-induced hardships.

We are hopeful the Federal government will continue to take measures to help California’s economy prosper and we will keep our community updated on further developments.
