Housing the heart of the community
Leader in Rent-Stabilized Urban Community Housing In
San Francisco, Oakland, and Los Angeles
Since the company’s founding in 1955, Mosser has become a highly experienced leader in rent-stabilized urban community housing specializing in West Coast gateway markets. The company owns and operates boutique mixed-use apartment and ground-floor retail properties and spaces in historic and culturally vibrant neighborhoods throughout San Francisco, Oakland, and Los Angeles. The company is also known for driving improvements in the neighborhoods where they do business and contributing the economic vitality of the community.
Beautifully Renovated, Historically Authentic
Mosser’s collection of beautifully renovated apartments offers a unique blend of modern upgrades with vintage charm, striking a perfect balance between today’s must-have amenities and historic authenticity. Properties are well-located in walkable neighborhoods, served by mass transit, convenient to local commercial centers and office sites-where people want to live. But Mosser’s residents–many who have lived in Mosser buildings for generations—are the true heart of what makes Mosser a magical place to live.
Ongoing Commitment to Diverse Neighborhoods
Unlike other real estate owner operators, Mosser is African American and woman-owned family business with more than 85 percent of its employees self-identifying as a minority. From this background, Mosser has a profound commitment to diversity that is at the core of company culture. With deep community roots, the company prioritizes its involvement into highly diverse neighborhoods where they can improve affordable housing options for those who live there and offer new opportunities for those that want to relocate and/or operate a business there.
The Mosser team is a long-term sponsor in communities and prides itself on being hands-on, active, and engaged in supporting diverse and inclusive neighborhoods. They deliver a measurable community and social impact through housing improvements, support of local business growth in these neighborhoods that otherwise are under-improved and in disrepair, and through philanthropy and the support of charitable organizations that foster diversity and inclusion and make the neighborhoods a better place to live.
Over their 65-year history, the Mosser team has always prided itself on being service providers to residents and stewards of the community. And that will continue to be their ongoing commitment.
